Some of the cattle have moved into the barns as 2 of our fields were newly seeded this year so we want to protect the new seeds over winter and then we should have good grazing come next spring & summer. The Lowlines certainly don’t need to come inside, they are more than happy out in all weathers but we have the facilities and this enables us to rest and preserve the grazing land. We still have some of the herd outside on the older pastures and they are doing just fine with a bit of hay to supplement the grass.
