We had a good day showing yesterday – miss sparkle took 1st in the cow & calf class, Wessex beau 3rd in the bull class and our 2 yearling heifers 5th in the homebred pairs class – the heifer class was a large strong class of yearlings and 2 yr olds so they missed out on top spots in that class to much older animals but the judge did say they were lovely yearlings – he particularly liked Wessex Dakota. It was first time at a show for them too and they behaved very well – I think they will go on to do very well at the shows this summer.
We had several people very interested in the breed, it was also good to catch up with the gentleman who bought a bull last year – the first Lowline in wales! We look forward to hearing about his first offspring very soon.
Apologies for the photo quality of some of the pictures – my camera threw a fit and wouldn’t focus!
Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short as Charlotte our little girl was very ill during the night and so we had to come home early Sunday morning so apologies if anyone was hoping to see the Lowlines today.
