It was a hot 3 days at the 3 counties show this year. We returned to the show after a successful  first visit last year when  we had a really good show with a lot of interest. This year was a little disappointing as the cattle lines were shut most of Friday, and all of Saturday & Sunday apart from about half an hour late in the day when most people had gone home. Very frustrating for us as we go to the time and expense of travelling to shows so that people can see the Lowlines, have a good look at them, ask questions etc. With a relatively new breed like this it is the first time many people will have seen them.

It must have been very annoying for the public too as many come to agricultural shows specifically to see the animals and apart from us being out for  judging on Friday morning the only other time they could see us was in the grand parade briefly each day.

It also didn’t help that the judge didn’t know what the cattle were and judged them as Dexters and then in the grand parade we were also announced as Dexters !!!

Anyway- in the classes , first up was Calista in the yearling heifer class who got a fourth place
